Not all kids get an allowance - so those that do are definitely the lucky ones. As kids, sometimes, we need to be understanding of how difficult adulting is. When this kid was told her parents couldn't afford to give her a weekly allowance, she took it upon herself to earn her own money.

Almost immediately after getting a job to finally start earning some extra cash, her younger brother was given a weekly allowance. Although she's still mad about it, at least she got to start adding to her work experience from such a young age.

Roles Reversed

Usually, the older siblings get the most punishment but unfortunately for this younger sibling, the roles were reversed. Understandably, his parents didn't want to deal with his older brother's anger issues. So, in the hopes of stopping some of his outbursts, they stopped punishing him.

That didn't mean they stopped grounding all of the kids, though. The parents wanted to keep their parental higher power and so, the younger son became the target. Some kids aim for a C in math. Unfortunately for this kid, however, his parents didn't approve of that.

Shared Room, Shared Rules

One of the most exciting things about growing up and getting older is that your bedtime becomes later. More time to play games, read books, or - if you're lucky enough - watch some extra TV. Sadly for this girl, she said she didn't get that privilege.

She went on to say that eventually, she was allowed to have the light on for an extra half an hour, even though she still had to be in bed by 8:30 p.m. When her parents finally changed her bedtime, it applied to her little sister too.

No Fireworks Here

Some parents run a stricter household and will make sure their kids follow the law when it comes to experimenting with activities. For this child, their parents even had a curfew for them at the age of 20. Although no one would expect such strict rules at this age, it surely would at least apply to all the kids, right?

Well, clearly not for the OP's brother. This user went on to share that when she came home for Christmas, her 17-year-old brother was throwing a party at their house. Worst of all is that their father gave the OP's brother permission. Understandably, the OP ended up getting physically ill from anger.
