20+ People Are Calling Out the Rudest Things They’ve Seen Wedding Guests Do
Seriously? Right Now?
There’s a lot of time at a wedding if you want to socialize with others. In fact, the reception is made just for that purpose and you can talk to whomever you please.
The exchange of vows is one of the times that most couples want the attention of the room and a respectful quiet so everyone can hear. That doesn’t include answering your phone during the ceremony, especially not twice. At least leave the room if you’re going to do this!
Wait for an Invitation
Weddings often come with the arduous task for the engaged couple to nail down a guest list and a seating list for those guests. They then depend on guests to RSVP. Long story short, don’t show up to a wedding when you aren’t invited.
For one, if you aren’t invited, there’s probably a reason — and crashing the wedding isn’t the time to work out an old grudge. On top of that, it can really interfere with the couple’s plan.
On the Other Hand
As we just talked about, the invitation list comes with some contemplations from the couple. This includes decisions about how much food to order, planning the seating arrangements, and more.
So, if you RSVP, they plan for your presence. If a lot of people then don’t show up, that’s a huge loss of money for the couple for no reason. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you’re rude if you find yourself sick or unable to attend due to an emergency.
A Cardinal Rule
There are some rules that you just shouldn’t break at a wedding. Some of these rules are so well-known that the bride and groom shouldn’t have to specify.
As for this person, they couldn’t believe their eyes when they watched their maid of honor walk in wearing white. A good general rule of thumb is to never wear white to a wedding because you’re supposed to let the bride stand out. The fact that this person was the maid of honor made it even worse.
Your wedding is your and your partner’s big day to celebrate your love with your friends and family. Oftentimes, people spend a lot of money and invest a lot emotionally into these ceremonies and their receptions. So, it can be really shocking to see wedding guests acting rude and breaking rules right there in the middle of such a special occasion. These people were shocked by what they saw.
