While surrogacy used to be a fairly secretive practice, now many well-known names are openly speaking about their experiences. We’ll kick things off with Australian actress Nicole Kidman. The star has welcomed children into her life using various different methods. First, she adopted daughter Isabella and son Connor with husband Tom Cruise. Then, she gave birth to a daughter with her husband, Keith Urban.

Grimes and Elon Musk

There aren’t many photos of this elusive family. And, their relationship status seems to change quite regularly. Canadian singer Grimes started dating billionaire Elon Musk in 2018. They welcomed their unusually-named son, X Æ A-12, in 2020. For this pregnancy, Grimes carried her son, but she experienced some health issues.

Lucy Liu

There are several celebrities on our list that decided to have children by themselves. These stars used a surrogate rather than waiting to be in a relationship before starting a family. In actress Lucy Liu’s case, her demanding schedule also meant she couldn’t spend time being pregnant.
