Getting married can be both incredibly exciting and terribly stressful all at the same time. There are so many things to worry about and so many things to be happy about, that a lot of younger couples can get a bit overwhelmed by the experience. The idea of your wedding day is one that you’re supposed to be generally excited about and while we may all assume that having a traditional style wedding is what everyone wants, the truth is that it isn’t always that way.
A lot of people either struggle to spend the kind of money that many do on their wedding day celebrations and other people are simply not into the idea. However, in some situations, it’s just better to have a traditional wedding anyway. So let’s figure out which is best suited to you!
If you’re stressed out about your wedding day, know that you can just barely afford the ceremony, and have always had a sense of adventure, then it might be a good idea for you to consider eloping. This is quite a daring and romantic thing to do as it literally involves just you and your partner getting married and taking a honeymoon entirely by yourselves. No ceremony, no hassle, and a whole lot more cash leftover for when you get back. If you’re young, or young at heart – eloping could be perfect for you.
However, a lot of family and friends can get really hurt if they aren’t invited to your wedding day. A lot of people tend to feel like when they’re a part of someone’s life for a long time, being at the more important events in your life is important to them.
This is also especially true if either of you come from a more conservative household or if you know one or both of your parents will be hurt by not being allowed to help out with your wedding day. So basically, if you don’t have that many attachments and come from a more open-minded home, eloping could be quite exciting and cost-effective, while people from more traditional homes would be better suited to following through with the a traditional wedding day setup.
