When most people imagine their weddings, they immediately think of the color white. They think of a white dress, white shirts, white tablecloths, white napkins, white dishes, and white decorations. We have grown so accustomed to this color being present at weddings that we’ve come to learn it as being a ‘traditional’ color. But what if you don’t want a traditional white wedding? Well, there’s a whole plethora of colors out there, but we’ve fallen madly in love with the gray wedding theme…
The Beauty of Gray
This particular wedding may have been crafted for an editorial photoshoot, but there’s no doubt about the fact that it’s still absolutely stunning and romantic. Created by Rebecca Marie Weddings & Events and photographed by Grace Elizabeth Photography, this whole gray wedding was inspired by the darker days that many of us experience over the course of our lives. Sure, blue skies and sunshine are beautiful, but have you ever looked up at the clouds on a gray day and realized that they are also stunning? That’s what this wedding is all about.
Dark and Moody
This wedding theme is perfect for couples who are either dark and moody, or ones who want to add an air of sophistication to their big day. The darker gray tones are coupled with beautiful green flowers and table arrangements and are offset by white colors in the background rather than the foreground. Ther table decorations are stunning, the cake is magnificent, and everything about this wedding is beautiful in so many different ways. However, if you ask us, you can’t get anything as special as that gray and tonal wedding gown. We would like to wear that right now, please and thank you.
There’s a high chance that you don’t dream of a gray wedding, but why not? This is proof that gray weddings can be absolutely incredible.
