How to Be an Active Groom at Your Wedding

After you have popped the question and she has said yes, the next step is to get busy with wedding preparations. Although traditionally, it is the bride who always gets to have the final say, times are changing and even the groom can share the spotlight. The key to doing that is becoming an active groom throughout the planning process.

What Does it Mean to Be an Active Groom?

Being an active groom means participating equally in the wedding planning and being just as involved with everything as the bride. This means that you have your own preferences, ideas, and suggestions to add and not be a mere passive spectator at your own wedding.

How to Be an Active Groom?

To be an active groom there are a number of things that you can do to make the planning fun and easier on the bride. At weddings, people are rather emotional, and more often than not the bride may feel overwhelmed with the potential changes that are to come her way. You can take charge and be emphatic towards your bride or assure her that you are by her side, all the way.

Things You May Be Required to Do

Try to be as available as you can to the bride’s needs. Pay attention to her opinions and her ideas and chime in if you can with your own. Choose the songs that are to play at your wedding. It does not have to be the whole wedding playlist, but perhaps a special song for your first dance together as man and wife. Family members may add to the stress of planning a wedding. Meeting their expectations and planning a wedding that you want can be challenging. In such a situation, be sensitive to your bride and be an active groom by simply assuring your bride that the two of you will get through this together.

3 Dazzling Divas from the Met Gala 2021 Red Carpet

After being canceled last year due to the pandemic scenario, fashion’s biggest night Met Gala was finally back bringing a beacon of light. Instead of its traditional slot on the first Sunday of May, the event was pushed to September this year. Nodding to the central theme of this year ‘America,’ the stars shone brighter than ever in dazzling appearances. The stunning looks of some dazzling divas are elaborated here.

Emily Blunt

Actress Emily Blunt appeared in the Met Gala Red Carpet as the modern-day ‘Ziegfeld Girl’. Giving a nod to this year’s central theme of the ball, Blunt evoked nostalgia by channeling the ‘Old Hollywood’ vibe with her Hedy Lamarr-inspired look from the classic 1941 American fashion film Ziegfeld Girl. The actress gracefully adorned a floor-length Miu Miu gown, embellished with 132,240 microcrystals. The dazzling outfit was given a modern chic twist with a milky white cape attached to the bodice. A star-spangled and oversized pearls fitted headgear, almost similar to Lamarr’s from the movie, completed her stunning look.

Anok Yai

Like Emily Blunt and many other attendees, model Anok Yai also channeled the ‘old Hollywood’ glam flaunting one iconic American star-inspired style statement. Giving a tribute to the 1920s civil rights activist, entertainer, and Jazz Age star Josephine Baker, Anok donned a figure-hugging outfit in gorgeous black and silver. The full black “skimming celestial crystal gown”, from the Oscar de La Renta Spring 2022 collection, featured a plunging neckline and was embellished all over with stars and flowers-shaped dazzling crystal designs. Stylist Carlos Nazario matched the model’s glamorous look with sheer black opera gloves and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Anok also effortlessly pulled off a black feather-bursting oversized shawl, which added extra elegance to the crystal-choked outfit.

Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller was looked absolutely phenomenal after arriving at the fashion event’s Red Carpet in a beautiful creamy gold Gucci gown. The floor-length gorgeous dress perfectly highlighted her lithe figure. It featured a cut-out detailing across the chest and was adorned with a rhinestone harness and silver stone-studded beading along the bodice. Sienna paired the outfit with glittering silver earrings, and a matching gorgeous fur coat, which trailed behind her at the famous staircase. The actress completed her golden glam with loose wave-styled glossy blond locks and natural glowing makeup on her flawless complexion.
