Some were elaborate and stretched out for days, some were tiny, intimate affairs, and some were kept a total secret – yep, 2018 saw a range of celebrity nuptials that have had us talking all the way into 2019. Whether it was for their outstanding dresses, their Coachella-themed after parties or the fact it stretched for days, here are the best celebrity weddings we witnessed from January to December.
Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas
We were all looking forward to Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding for months. The build-up was high and the event did not disappoint. Celebrations kicked off on the weekend of December 1 and featured a traditional Hindu ceremony and the stunning Umaid Bhawan Palace with A-list guests including Sophie Turner.
There were multiple outfit changes including a stunning Ralph Lauren dress with a 75-foot veil and a Ralph & Russo Couture look for the pre-wedding ceremony because a girl can’t have too many outfits. Just when you thought it was all over, the couple surprised us with another post-honeymoon wedding party in Mumbai weeks later.
Many Moore And Taylor Goldsmith
Quite the opposite to Nick and Priyanka, Mandy Moore and musician Taylor Goldsmith tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on November 1 at LA’s Fig House, with 50 of their closest friends and family. Sharing photos to Instagram, Moore revealed her beautiful choice of ruffled blush pink gown by Rodarte.
Amy Schumer And Chris Fischer
Amy Schumer also casually slipped in her wedding news on Instagram in a post that simply read “yup,” accompanied with a shot from the private ceremony. The comedian apparently couldn’t wait to marry chef Chris Fischer in February and wanted a no-fuss affair. Her wedding reportedly took less than a week to plan. Schumer’s dog Tati was a key member of the bridal party.
Chiara Ferrangi And Fedez
Influencer of The Blonde Salad, Chiara Ferrangi, and Italian rapper Fedez opposed the no-fuss approach. These two exchanged vows in Sicily and the big day included three Dior outfits for the bride, 160 guests, a Coachella-themed after party, and smoke bombs that went off when the couple kissed. They also had a private plane that flew family and friends to the ceremony. I think it’s time we start choosing our friends more wisely!
Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth
Just when we thought our year of outstanding celebrity weddings had come to an end, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth surprised us all with their private ceremony at the singer’s Tennessee home on December 23. Rumors of the nuptial did begin to emerge when photos from a friend showed Miley dressed in a white dress on Instagram. The star herself later confirmed the marriage with her own romantic shots of the big day. She captioned one with, “10 years later.” Miley wore a white, Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder dress.
