Even worse, the last thing you want to worry about is how your spray tan has made your wedding dress into its canvas.

Jessica Bringas of Oasis Day Spa in New York has some advice on how to keep yourself touched up and staying pretty.

When To Spray On?
Bringas suggests getting your spray tan two days before the wedding. By giving yourself a couple of days, you can wash off the initial layer of the tan while allowing it to settle into your skin.

In addition, you can use the time to see how it looks and adjust accordingly in case it is not what you want. She claims that by this point there should be no chance of the tan getting on your dress.

She said, "Once you show and rinse off that [extra formula] - which is just bronzer, not the actual tan itself - you'll be left with just the color of your skin."

What Shade Of Bronze Should You Choose?
Bronze can be quite an extreme color contrast with white, so make sure to keep your tanning around your base color. That means, if you had a great summer in the sun and are already tan, you can afford to choose a darker shade.

Just be careful not to select a shade that is too many shades darker. If you are a redhead with fair skin, do not go after a deep bronze; stick with something near your natural look.

Selecting the place you go to for your tan can be almost as important as the tan itself. She recommends going to a place that does not use the same shade of bronze for everyone, even referring to that as a "bad sign."
