Family With Two Children Orders One Meal, Their Waitress Finds Out the Truth

It was a regular Saturday night at the restaurant. Judith arrived to work her normal hours on the evening shift. Little did she know that the evening was going to be anything but normal! What started as a perfectly regular evening at work ended in disbelief. A family with two children ordered just one meal, and when Judith found out the truth about the situation, she was shocked. The Waitress

Judith had been a waitress for most of her working life. She had met many different types of people in the varied restaurants she had worked in. Some customers had been a pleasure to serve, polite, kind, and generous. Others had been outright rude and difficult.

But this was her job, and she tried to be pleasant and patient with everyone. She was happy working in this particular restaurant. Judith had a good boss and got on well with her colleagues. She didn't realize how much this would help her until later that night.

A Busy Night

Saturdays are the busiest night of the week, and this Saturday was no different. The restaurant was bustling with customers. Judith knew that she and her co-workers would be stretched with so many people to serve. Judith got busy preparing herself for the night ahead.

She concentrated on writing down the orders correctly, rushing back to the kitchen, and shouting them to the waiting staff. Then it was back to the tables to deliver drinks and take more orders. She could see it was going to be a hectic yet uneventful shift. What could go wrong?

The Family Arrived

Judith noticed the family immediately as they walked in. They were shown to their table and sat down. First the mother, then the father, and finally their two children - a son and a daughter. They looked like a regular family, but a knot formed in her stomach as she watched them.

She was getting a horrible feeling about them, although she couldn't put her finger on what the problem could be. They were chatting away happily, waiting to be served. She thought she must be imagining things and tried to put the questions starting to fill her head out of her mind.

The Drinks Order

She walked over to the family's table and took their drinks orders. Smiling at them warmly, she handed them menus to peruse. Judith moved on to some other customers. Taking the family their drinks, she chatted to them and then went to wait near the kitchen.

Judith looked over at them while they decided what they wanted to eat. Something seemed very odd about this family, and she became worried. The mom and dad were pointing to various items on the menu while their son perused the kid's menu. Everything appeared to be normal.
