It seems as though 2018 was the year of the royal wedding because some of our favorite couples made their way down the aisle to become husband and wife. While all eyes were on Meghan and Prince Harry, it’s safe to say that Princess Eugenie also caused a stir when he walked into St. George’s Chapel on October 12. Her beautiful tiara took the world by storm, but her dress was the real talking point. Now, you can see Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress on display.
The Big Day
St. George’s Chapel was a hive of activity last year, as this historic building saw the marriage of two prominent women within the Royal Family. Both Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie donned their beautiful wedding dresses to meet their grooms at the end of the aisle, and they celebrated their nuptials surrounded by their nearest and dearest. While Princess Eugenie’s was not quite the celebrity bash that Meghan organized just a few months earlier, it was certainly still beautiful, with royal traditions taking up a huge portion of the day. Because of this, her marriage will go down in history.
The Dress In Question
While the venue was, of course, a huge talking point during Princess Eugenie’s wedding, her dress also caused a stir. On her big day, the Duchess of York wore a designer gown by Peter Pilotto, which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, a full-length train, and a low back. She specifically asked for a dress with a low back, as she wanted to show off and show that she is proud of her scoliosis scar. The dress was a huge hit with fashion experts and fans alike, and now you can see it for yourself.
A Royal Exhibit
The Royal Collection Trust has recently curated a brand new exhibit that can be found within Windsor Castle. It will showcase some of the fashion choices and jewelry pieces worn by the bride and groom, and even their guests on the day. This means that you can see Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress with your very eyes, you can check out the groom’s suit, and you can even see what Princess Charlotte and Prince George were wearing on the day! As if that wasn’t enough, you can also feast your eyes on Eugenie’s beautiful evening gown, designed by Zac Posen.
Do you love fashion? Do you love the royals? This exhibit is for you.
