Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding was not only the wedding of the year, but it was also the wedding of all weddings… ever! Just when you thought you knew and had seen every detail from their multi-day affair, think again. The never-before-seen dress Chopra wore to the reception has been revealed.
The actresses stylist Mimi Cuttrell posted two photos to Instagram of Chopra in a custom Dior gown. The caption read, “Marry, merry! @priyankachopra x in custom @dior + drenched in sixteen carats of @chopard #styledbymimicuttrell.”
The former Miss World reportedly wore this stunning number to her second wedding reception after the couple had their traditional Hindu ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The beautiful red ball gown features a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and tulle skirt. She completed her look with 16 carats of jewelry by Chopard, which included a choker necklace, diamond headpiece, and drop earrings.
During her Hindu Ceremony, before she changed into this red gown, she wore a custom lehenga by Indian designer Sabyasachi. The stunning bride wore a red skirt, top, and veil combo which required 110 embroiders to make and took about 3,720 hours to finish! But it doesn’t end there, let’s not forget they had an extravagant wedding. For the Christian Ceremony, she wore a long-sleeve, high-neck Ralph Lauren gown which took 1,826 hours to hand-embroider. 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins and a 75-foot veil completed the look.
While wedding days give the bride the opportunity for numerous wardrobe changes without anyone judging, Chopra really made the most of it. The couple wed on December 1 and have been celebrating all month long. As well as her Dior dress, she had three other reception looks. First, a champagne Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga choli that she wore to her wedding reception in New Delhi’s Taj Palace Hotel on December 4.
Then on December 19, she wore a royal blue and gold gown by Sabyasachi to their next celebration family and friends in Mumbai. Last but not least, or so we think, the couple held a reception for Chopra’s Bollywood friends and colleagues. She wore a beautiful mint green, jewel-embroidered two-piece wedding dress that was custom made by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
